I don't manage the bypass, that is handled by a third party. I simply provided a simpler way to access the service. If the bypass doesn't work, it's not my patcher, it's the bypass provider, proxydns.co. I haven't had much time to dedicate to updating with back compatibility or a new bypass server due to exams and work.

Has anyone succeeded in getting this to work with Chromecast?

I run a combination Pandora Internet Radio + Pandora Patcher (with region bypass disabled) + Orbot without a problem on the phone, but when connecting to Chromecast all I get is a few seconds of Pandora splash screen on TV and a session disconnected message afterwards. Maybe it's worth mentioning I'm outside US and Chromecast is unfortunately not rooted.

Cheers!

Hi,
It works for me in France with my rooted chromecast.
I have patcher 3.6 + pandora 5.6.1 but i use custom DNS. The only way you can make it work with a non rooted chromecast is to install a vpn software and create a wifi point sharing your vpn virtual card. You will then be able to play anything. Songza, Pandora, netflix....

I just found another way you could use to play on non rooted chromecast. Use Audio cast in bubbleupnp. It will allow you to skip tracks in pandora and send the sound to any chromecast and you won't loose the possibility to save tracks.

That's exactly what I feared :-(

Perfect.
For now, I'm using Android 5.0, so I can't test it with Pandora Patcher, however, is possible to use AdAway for the redirection.
Code: Select all206.217.199.162 pandora.com
206.217.197.78 tuner.pandora.com

IIRC, is possible to change the redirection IP in Pandora Patcher. In that case, use the second IP (tuner.pandora.com)

What's new in Pandora v5.6.1? They skipped so many version numbers and I can't find changelog information anywhere.

For one, you can now edit songs you have thumbed up and thumbed down from within the app.

Well as I'm sure almost everyone is aware, lollipop is here and available on some devices either officially or unofficially in the form of CM12. As everyone knows, Pandora Patcher relies on Xposed framework to work and Xposed does not work on ART, so lollipop users are left out in the cold. I'm hopeful that Xposed will be updated for ART otherwise I'm going to have to attempt to bring the patcher features to the Pandora app itself in the form of an apk mod. If and when rovo announces that Xposed will not be coming to ART, I will experiment with smali code (which could take forever or not at all and it'll remain for Xposed only on KitKat and below)

How do you this in AdAway? I've enabled allow redirection, in Your hosts added these two entries in the redirection tab, then applied AdAway hosts...

But no go, just the circle turning in Pandora, won't login...

your redirection list should look like this:

and your host file like this:

also remember that you have to reboot the system after that change.
If it's already like that, then try getting the correct IP using this webpage:
http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php
type the domain (tuner.pandora.com and pandora.com) and use the DNS posted by baby0803 (or another unotelly DNS)
