I am totaly agree with @hinata 's sugestion about using Xprivacy in Combination with xposed For security instead of having an anti-virus which only scans apps not restricts them, there are many apps which are clean and are not virus but they instead of being a virus they almost do what a viurs is supposed to do, they ask for so many sensitive permission which is not needed for them to function properly, but with Xprivacy you can simply and easily restrict them from getting your sensitive data or Feed them a Fake data

Correct me if I'm wrong but these apps don't really do anything on Android and is nothing more than a waste of space.
Seems like a pretty mainstream list to me that misses out on some of the newer apps that do the job a lot better.
Well, technically you're right, these apps don't do much, other than waste battery and memory resources.
Though as a security app, I'd highly recommend XPrivacy. This app rocks, though requires more experience users to be installed.
EDIT: After I read your second post, I feel totally stupid
