Our own Ozswede narrowly edged out peaceableone one for the win, with DuskyDuvessa and Fatima coming up gamely but just a bit short on their tails. All of our Mobi brethren put shame to the former local favorite, Mrs. Mary-Jane Koswolski who after two sound consecutive thumpings in a row may want to reconsider her life choices.

I would like to congratulate each of the contestants, spirited competitors all,
who made tonight's contest an evening to remember,
as well as all the Nenana and Mobi-ites who came
to cheer on the gallant challengers!

(BTW - I used the #4 race at Remington Park Sunday night to establish the odds and determine the winners.)

Well, that really does draw the formal part of our Ice Frolics to a close for the year.
I'll leave the thread going for bit in case anyone has any pictures to post from the night,
or has come with any more ways to use up these leftover bananas,
or to just congratulate or razz
our collective group of Mobi friends, competitors and champions -
be they banana chompers or Tripod Tipplers.

you are a great bunch to shake off the cold with -

So while the rest of you went home I carried on partying, it got so hot and steamy that my banana blew up

OMG! Team Mobi does it again!

I'm proud, humbled and honoured to have brought home the trophy for us.



I saw that Mrs. Mary-Jane Koswolski had brought along her local cheer squad



But I brought out the big guns - my very favourite Banana squad from Australia - B1 and B2



The bananas kept coming



I kept munching



And soon Mrs. Mary-Jane Koswolski started flagging



And victory was ours!

The Dirty Bananas were flowing



Entertainment was provided by the legendary band The Banana Splits



We went with the usual Mobi mantra of Go Bananas or Go Home...

Congratulations to HogwartsExpress for the winning guess
I see he and johngriffen were first to kick off with the celebrations



When Bananarama hit the stage with their hit song Venus,



Guv was first out on the dance floor showing us all his dance moves



Though this morning he might be regretting sampling a few too many of the banana cocktails



Thanks to Guv for running this contest again and for all of those brave souls who took part.
(except for Mumzies and DuskyDuvessa who threw snowballs at me ... don't think I'll forget by next year! Not a chance. You two are going down!)

Sorry that the party igloo was not yet operating - blasted red tape.
I've bribed the authorities applied for planning permission already for next year.
Failing that, I'll make them an offer they can't refuse...
