They can look all they want, but there’s only one who gets to touch, and she needs his touch now.
Ethan knows he’s the luckiest man in the world. He doesn’t mind that every eye in the place is locked on his incredibly sexy wife, no matter who she dresses as, but when it’s La-Ra from the Warrior King comics, he’s reminded again why he fell in love with her.
After a chance encounter with the Warrior King himself, well, the actor who plays him, fantasies are fulfilled. Fiction becomes interwoven with reality for all those involved.
It’s not his wife and the actor who plays his childhood hero that Ethan is watching. It’s La-Ra and Sire, acting out the scenes too steamy for the comics to show. This is what they’d always envisioned, and then some.

Evie never planned on staying in her small town, she wants the bright lights of the big city. Instead, she’s stuck pouring drinks at her husband’s bar for a bunch of handsy locals, waiting for her favorite city boy patron to swing through every other weekend. Waiting for the next time she can pretend there’s more than harmless flirting going on between them. Until it’s no longer pretend.
Evie’s husband loves watching her flirt with the guys at the bar. It’s a daily reminder that he’s the lucky one who gets to take her home. They can all dream, but they don’t stand a chance. Except one, the city boy she clearly has a crush on. The city boy that he can’t stop picturing with his wife. Until he no longer has to picture it.
