Does anyone else like witty romantic fiction?
I've become very fond of Angela Thirkell's Barsetshire novels. Some are available here and more are in the Canadian public domain at fadedpage.com. Some of the views are a little outré for the modern reader, but they also add flavor as they are obviously written in a different time.
Some of the other writers who write light witty novels I've enjoyed are Elizabeth Fair, D.E. Stevenson (Miss Buncle's Book), Winifred Watson with Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (also a good movie), and Elizabeth Von Arnim with Enchanted April.
