Mr. Monk series by Lee Goldberg & Hy Conrad
Requirements: ePub Reader, Mobi Reader, 14 MB
Overview: "Can books be better than television? You bet they can - when Lee Goldberg's writing them" -Lee Child.
Lee Goldberg is a novelist and television writer whose TV scripting and producing credits include Diagnosis Murder, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Hunter, Spenser For Hire, She-Wolf of London, SeaQuest, 1-800-Missing, Martial Law and Monk. He most recently wrote and produced the movie/pilot Fast Track. It was shot entirely on location in Berlin.
His mother wanted him to be a doctor, and his grandfather wanted him to go into the family furniture business. Instead, he put himself through UCLA as a freelance journalist, and published his first book while he was still a UCLA student.

Hy Conrad was one of the original writers for the groundbreaking series, Monk. He worked on the show for all eight seasons, the final two as Co-Executive Producer, and received three Edgar Nominations from the Mystery Writers of America for Best TV Series. Hy was just awarded the honor of taking over the novel series based on the TV show Monk. His first book, Mr. Monk Helps Himself, was released in July 2013.

Book 1 - Mr. Monk Goes to the Fire House: Adrian Monk, the obsessive-compulsive modern-day Sherlock Holmes, is forced to move in with his assistant Natalie Teeger, who is the narrator of the novel, while his apartment is being fumigated. Unfortunately, her home is not quite up to Monk's standards of cleanliness and order. But while Monk attempts to arrange his surroundings just so, something else needs to be put straight...

Book 2 - Mr. Monk Goes to Hawaii: Some people think Hawaii is paradise, but Monk knows that danger, like dirt, lurks everywhere. Look at Helen Gruber, the rich tourist who took a fatal blow from a coconut. The police say it fell from a tree, but Monk suspects otherwise. His assistant Natalie isn't exactly thrilled about Monk's latest investigation. It was bad enough Monk followed her on vacation, and now it looks like the vacation is over...

Book 3 - Mr. Monk and The Blue Flu: Monk is horrified when he learns there's going to be a blue flu in San Francisco-until Capt. Stottlemeyer explains that it just means the police plan to call in "sick" until they get a better contract. The good news is the labor dispute will give Monk a chance to get back on the force. The bad news is it means he'll be a "scab"-and he doesn't like the sound of that either...

Book 4 - Mr. Monk and the Two Assistants: Now that her ne'er-do-well husband has been arrested for murder, Monk's former assistant, Sharona, is ready to reclaim her place in Monk's extremely well-ordered life. But his current assistant, Natalie, is not pleased with this turn of events.

Book 5 - Mr. Monk in Outer Space: An all-new novel starring the obsessively beloved TV detective who has no patience for the crooked...

Book 6 - Mr. Monk Goes to Germany: Adrian Monk has actually been doing well lately. He's solving murders as fast as they come, and he's been noticeably less compulsive. Monk knows he owes it all to his therapist, Dr. Kroger. So when Kroger attends a conference in Germany, Monk reverts to his OCD habits. Desperate, Monk follows his shrink to Germany. And that's when he sees the man across a crowded town square. A man with six fingers. Monk knows it could be the man responsible for his wife's death.

Book 7 - Mr. Monk Is Miserable: Monk already ruined a trip to Germany for his longsuffering assistant Natalie. The least he can do is accompany her on a detour to France - and try not to ruin that too. In fact, Monk throws Natalie for a loop by announcing that he wants to visit the sewers of Paris. The historic underground maze of pipes and tunnels is famous for making the City of Light sanitary, and to Monk, that's worth paying tribute to.

Book 8 - Mr. Monk and the Dirty Cop: Leland Stottlemeyer is used to obsessive- compulsive genius Adrian Monk getting all the praise and attention. But the police captain is feeling a little hostile after taking a lot of ribbing about his reliance on his star consultant. Is it possible he's used the latest round of budget cuts as an excuse to cut Monk loose?

Book 9 - Mr. Monk in Trouble: Ever since a 1962 unsolved train robbery made it famous, people have made their way to Trouble in California's gold country - to search for the booty that train robbers supposedly dumped in the botched heist. When the museum watchman is murdered, Monk and his assistant, Natalie, are sent to investigate. Monk becomes obsessed with the legendary unsolved robbery, discovering a personal connection to the town's past...

Book 10 - Mr. Monk is Cleaned Out: In the midst of a financial crisis, the SFPD fires Adrian Monk as a consultant. Monk figures he can live off his savings for a while. Then Natalie learns that Monk invested his money some time ago with Bob Sebes, the charismatic leader of Reinier Investments, who's just been arrested on charges of orchestrating a massive $100 million fraud. All of Sebes' clients-including Monk-are completely wiped out. When the key witness in the government's case against Sebes is killed, Monk is convinced that Sebes did it, but the man has been under house arrest with a horde of paparazzi in front of his building 24/7. Monk may be broke, but he's got plenty of time on his hands to solve this latest mystery...

Book 11 - Mr. Monk on the Road: Monk's out on the open highway-but crime is a hitchhiker that won't be ignored. With his job secure and his wife's murder finally solved, Adrian Monk is feeling strangely...satisfied. He'd like his agoraphobic brother Ambrose to feel the same way, so Monk puts a secret ingredient in Ambrose's birthday cake: sleeping pills. When Ambrose wakes up, he's in a motorhome on the open road with Monk determined to show him the outside world. But Ambrose isn't the only one struggling to let go. As little crimes pop up along the highway, Monk can't resist getting involved. Now it's up to Monk to stop a murderer from turning their road trip into a highway to hell.

Book 12 - Mr. Monk on the Couch: Three strangers, each a murder victim: a security guard, a struggling student, and a beautiful woman. They have something more in common than death and Monk can't believe what it is-a couch. Before you find out why, you'd better sit down.

Book 13 - Mr. Monk on Patrol: When the local government of Summit, New Jersey, is hit with a string of arrests, Chief of Police Randy Disher finds himself acting as mayor. With a town to run and a series of robberies to investigate, he calls on Adrian Monk to serve as a temporary policeman.

Book 14 - Mr. Monk Is a Mess: No one likes to come home to a mess, least of all Adrian Monk and Natalie. But when they return to San Francisco from an extended stay working as cops in New Jersey, Natalie discovers somebody has been sleeping in her bed. But they're not asleep, she is dead. If that isn't bad enough, investigators find marked money from a Federal sting operation stuffed under Natalie's mattress. Now her life is a real mess and she needs Monk's help to clean it up.

Book 15 - Mr. Monk Gets Even: Monk’s investigating a string of accidental deaths and suicides that he quickly determines are actually murders. But when the man Monk pegs for the murder is killed, Monk is forced to face the fact that, for the first time, he might actually be wrong. Have stability, domesticity, and happiness robbed Monk of his special skills? Has Monk lost his mojo?

By Hy Conrad:

Book 16 - Mr. Monk Helps Himself: An all-new original mystery starring Adrian Monk, the brilliant investigator who always knows when something’s out of place.

Book 17 - Mr. Monk Gets on Board: Of all the things that make Adrian Monk uneasy, change ranks high on the list. So when Natalie completes her P.I. license—and technically becomes Monk's boss—it's not easy for him to accept. Nor can he accept Natalie attending a business seminar at sea without him, even if it means spending a week with her on a cruise ship.
When the captain hires Monk and Natalie to look into a mysterious rash of vandalism onboard, Monk steers the investigation toward murder…

Book 18 - Mr. Monk Is Open For Business: After failing to win back his girlfriend Ellen in Summit, New Jersey, Monk returns to San Francisco where he is surprised to find another relationship has taken a new turn. Natalie decided to make things official by setting up an office for Monk and Teeger, Consulting Detectives. With Monk's typical response to change of any kind, they have more than a few wrinkles to iron out of their new routine. But when Lieutenant Amy Devlin comes to them for help, it's time to stop bickering and get to work.

Book 19 - Mr. Monk and the New Lieutenant: Monk and Natalie have finally settled into a new office routine—but the detectives soon have another problem to deal with: Captain Stottlemeyer's new lieutenant, A. J. Thurman—a man of limited skills whom Monk finds insufferable. Despite Thurman's presence, Monk and Natalie attend the funeral of Judge Oberlin, and it's a good thing. In typical fashion, Monk examines the body in the casket—and finds evidence of poison. The judge was murdered.
