The Bear and the Swastika (#1)
The year is 1939.

The World rocks with the news of the signing of the Germano-Soviet pact. A dark veil soon falls on Europe as Poland is invaded and destroyed by the overwhelming forces of the Wehrmacht and the Red Army.

France and the United Kingdom can only sit by and watch the two military juggernauts obliterate the Polish state. No one believes the two totalitarian regimes can agree in the long term as their ideologies completely contradict each other.

Russia wants influence in the Balkans, has eyes on Finland, and wants an opening to the Mediterranean. Germany needs Romanian oil to keep its war machine operational, and Hitler is adamant about not letting the Bolsheviks gain another inch of ground in Europe. At least not more than he has already given out in the treaty of non-aggression signed before the Polish campaign.

The year is 1940.

The French campaign unfolds with a disaster for the Allies, and the Germans win an incredible victory over the combined forces of the United Kingdom and France. British forces narrowly escape to their island with the remnants of their armies, and France surrenders. The Germans occupy half of the country. It seems that the swastika will conquer the world, especially with the Russian bear watching its back.

All the while, the Battle of England rages between the Luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force. The fate of the last free nation of Europe hangs in the balance. Will the courageous Brits and their new Prime Minister Winston Churchill prevail?

And then something happens in Asia. Russo-Japanese again attack each other at Khalkin Gol, as they did a year earlier. Only this time, Stalin feels quite secure with his German alliance and decides that he has had enough of Imperial Japan in Manchuria. Red Army troops are sent east while Japanese Imperial forces mobilize throughout the Empire. War is all but unavoidable between the two powers.

Germano-Soviet talks are organized in August 1940. The subject is nothing less than the Soviet Union's potential entry as a third Axis Power during World War II. The negotiations include a two-day conference in Berlin between Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov, Adolf Hitler, and German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop. The two powers will try to agree on a formal alliance to divide the world.

All the while, Great Britain fights for its very survival, and America does nothing.

The fate of liberty hangs in the balance.

World War (#2)
The year is 1940 and war is blossoming across the globe

The Battle of Britain enters its last phase, and it remains to be seen of the Germans will be able to master the proud British into submission. Large air fleets fight for supremacy in the English skies, and the civilians pay the price with the British cities in flames.

The Japanese forces have launched a surprise attack on Vladivostok, the main Soviet city and fortress in the Far East. The Pacific Fleet was sunk by Japanese planes and the rest of the border defenses are being systematically destroyed by the Imperial Navy battleships. In the Mongolian steppes, General Zhukov’s offensive has taken a life of its own and is now 125km deep into Manchuria. The two military juggernauts fight each other with several hundred thousand men on each side. A true battle of titans in the nowhere that is the far eastern territories of Siberia and Manchuria.

With their new alliances, Germany and the USSR are starting to plan their next moves, and a conference is organized between the two powers to decide how and where to go next. The obvious targets are the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa.

Japan and the United Kingdom are moving ever closer to an alliance, following a bold proposition by the Japanese government. A complete reversal of situation is at hand in the Pacific theater of war. Born out of necessity, the two countries are fast becoming friends.

All the while, the United States of America stays frozen in their isolationist policy. Their president Franklin D. Roosevelt plots and scheme to change the nation’s course toward intervention and war. But nothing is yet decided, as elections are at hand in Washington D.C.

Larges campaigns are about to be fought, battles lost and won.

The Second World War is at hand, and the entire globe will be set afire.

Axis Triumphant (#3)
The year is 1940, and the Axis is invading everywhere.

As the Battle of England winds down and results in a German defeat, Adolf Hitler set his sights on the South and the Mediterranean theater. The Reich can deal a deadly blow to the British Empire by conquering Gibraltar and the Suez Canal. In doing so, it would cut the British supply lines and make the Mediterranean Sea an Axis lake.

The British cannot afford to lose both spots as much as it cannot lose Egypt and the Middle East. It will fight as much as it can to prevail and defeat the Germans, Italians, and Soviets. The Battle of Gibraltar and French North Africa is about to begin.

The Red Army is now dangerously approaching the jewel of the empire, India, and starts to move against Iraq after some weeks of hesitation and supply problems. An epic fight is flaring up in the wastelands of Balochistan and the Persian extreme eastern territories.

In the Balkans, the Germans want to finish their conquest of Greece by attacking Crete, the Dodecanese Islands, and Cyprus to make an eventual move toward Egypt and the Levant. Turkey will also have to make a choice, as the Germans and the Russians are giving them the option of joining or invasion.

The Far East is also aflame. Vladivostok is under Japanese control, and General Umezu has just defeated a major Soviet army. There is seemingly nothing to stop the Imperial Army from attacking Khabarovsk and thus cutting Zhukov’s line of supply. The Russian general continues his offensive and is now poised to end Japanese control of Manchuria by conquering Mukden.

And then America is done staying on the sidelines. Newly-elected president Franklin Delano Roosevelt begins his third term as the leader of the United States. Firmly saddled in control of the country, he is about to lead the country into the war.

The Axis triumphs everywhere, but it has not yet won the war.
