Challenged constantly from without, beset by their own inner demons, Isaac and Lilli must find the true strength within their bond. Isaac needs to protect what is his; Lilli needs to stand on her own. But they are stronger side by side. Even in the deepest darkness, love brings hope.

An act of treachery has weakened Isaac Lunden, President of the Night Horde MC. His life, and his family’s, is changed fundamentally. Lilli, his old lady, is at his side, exhorting him to fight. But he isn’t sure that what’s left to him is enough to fight for. This is the story of Isaac and Lilli’s journey through those dark woods.
Author's Note: this novella develops a plot point in Alone on Earth, book four of the Signal Bend series, that could not be adequately explored in the POV's of that book. The description above therefore is a spoiler for that event.

She is an artist at heart, a free spirit on whom the structure and rigor of routine chafes hard. When she takes a job that makes Havoc her boss, they butt heads. When her family ties finally upend her separate life, she is drawn back home and into Len’s arms. While Len and Tasha try to understand and define their connection to each other, and Tasha struggles with her reentry into the world of the club, the Horde’s unwilling entanglement with a dangerous drug cartel becomes deadly. Fighting for justice and freedom against a man who will commit any atrocity to assert his power, the Horde family experiences pain and loss the likes of which it has never known before. Love and hope are all they have left.

Now, following a harrowing confrontation with the vicious leader of a notorious drug cartel, they are weakened in body and spirit, and they no longer have the unwavering support of the citizens of Signal Bend. They must fight to reclaim the goodwill of their town and their own sense of purpose. Justin 'Badger' Ness is struggling both physically and mentally with the price he paid for his place in the brotherhood of the Night Horde. That which gives him the most strength is becoming his personal demon. He is in danger of losing sight of what is good and real in the world.
Adrienne Renard is lost between the life she thought she wanted and an endless world of possibilities. The stepdaughter of Showdown Ryan, the club VP, comes to Signal Bend out of concern for her friend, worried about Badger’s increasing distance, but she stays to find her own place in a life she never knew she wanted. Together Badger and Adrienne learn that trust—in each other and in themselves—is where strength truly lies. Without trust, there can be no atonement, no forgiveness. It’s a lesson the Night Horde and the town of Signal Bend must learn, as well.
Christmas in Signal Bend (#7.5): A massive storm hits the Midwest on Christmas Eve. TV meteorologists are calling it “Snowmageddon” and predicting up to two feet of accumulation by dawn on Christmas morning. They warn everyone to be inside and off the roads by noon.
In Signal Bend, Missouri, the townspeople scramble to relocate their traditional Christmas Eve festivities indoors, to the compound of the Night Horde MC, and figure out how to retain some of the magic of their shared traditions. Lilli Lunden, a town leader and the old lady of former Horde president, Isaac, is in charge of that effort.
Lilli and Isaac have greater worries than trying to save the town Christmas. Their daughter, Gia, is still in Columbia, where she’s a senior at the University of Missouri. She’s making the 100-mile drive home on this day, over country roads, and she is not taking the weather forecast seriously. Isaac and Lilli try to get her home before the storm, but she thinks they’re being controlling and overprotective. She ignores their warnings, of course.
She shouldn’t have.
A Christmas in Signal Bend is the story of a Christmas in crisis and the efforts a family makes to come together and save the holiday. Among other things.
