Overview: Isabelle Carruethers is the very busy and talented head of neurosurgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Following a traumatic event several years before, the British doctor has resigned herself to a bachelor life, believing that she is unable to circumvent the memories and fears still haunting her. When her vacation in Cape Cod is suddenly interrupted due to a personnel crisis at the hospital, Isabelle returns to Boston with the full expectation of a frenzied week of work ahead of her. What she does not expect is to meet a man who will challenge the serenity of her life choices.

Alexander Campbell is the owner of a successful BDSM resort called The Oasis. He comes to Boston to be with his father when the latter has to undergo a dangerous surgery. Alexander is suspicious of the new doctor attending to his father, whom he finds too young and attractive to also be competent, but despite his misgivings the surgery is a success. Their ways seem to part at the end of the week, however unforeseen circumstances reunite them in the private setting of Isabelle's home.

During their dinner together, Isabelle warms up to Alexander and he coaxes her into gradually revealing the story of her trauma from years before. Intrigued and impressed by his hostess, Alexander makes her a proposition: to spend the remaining three nights that he has in Boston with him, with the promise that afterwards she would be able to leave the past behind and move on with her life. Will Isabelle accept this challenge and will Alexander fulfill his promise?
