But maintaining my freedom and searching for my past love are only the beginning of my problems. Because the very last thing I expected to stumble into once I reached Hedeon was a man who would turn my world upside down and make me question everything I thought I believed about myself and the way things should be.

4. The Meeting of Four Kingdoms - The stage is set. The leaders of the four most powerful of the new kingdoms on the frontier have gathered for a summit that could change everything for wolves and city-dwellers alike.
But the meeting is also a chance for the Sons of the Cities to reunite…and to argue over the ever-changing problem of pupdom. Is it right for men who were once pups themselves to own their own pups, or will that undermine everything the Sons have been working for?
And there are even greater problems on the horizon when a spy is discovered among the men King Sai has invited to form a new order—a spy who represents the Old Realm and the claim that King Julius still believes he has on all of the frontier.
Will the meeting of four kingdoms unite the people of the frontier or divide them even further? And will the Old Realm wage a war to reclaim the frontier…or has the war already begun?

Escaping imprisonment at the hands of the mysterious General Rufus was like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Because in order to save both myself and Ludvig, I had to agree to become Dmitri’s pup.
And Dmitri has plans for me…plans I’m not sure I’m ready for.
As if that weren’t enough, once we reached Good Port, just as I was resigning myself to my fate and joining my friends in their efforts to unravel a spy plot, in walked a man who embodied everything I have always dreamed of, a man I could truly see myself falling for.

Now I’m torn between a promise made to one man and the desire I feel for another. The intrigues and struggles of the new frontier can’t hold a candle to the impossible choices I don’t know how to make. Does love truly conquer all, or is that just a story for children?

When Dushka let me go off to the Old Realm to pursue my passion for healing, he bid me have as much fun as I could while away. I took him at his word, and my fun started almost as soon as I set off!
But having fun with new friends along the journey, and with my housemates once I arrived at Royersford Healers’ College, was only the beginning of an adventure I never could have planned for. Messing around is one way to become like brothers with my housemates, but living through the rise of a tyrant whose paranoia causes him to capture the entire Old Realm in his iron grip is another entirely.
I never intended to end up trapped in the Old Realm. I never intended to fall in love with one of my classmates either. But if it’s the last thing I ever do, I will climb the mountains to make it home to Dushka…and I’ll take Appius and the rest of my friends with me, even if we die in the process.
