Overview: My enjoyment of all things historical began when I was a child and I loved nothing more than to escape into the lives of the characters within a good book. I would cycle to the library and get the maximum allowance of books out, then devour them long into the night.
I’m a sucker for a happy ending, and I’m fascinated by the ups and downs, challenges and triumphs, heartbreaks and hopes of the folk who lived before us, especially during the Victorian and Regency times. In many ways, their lives are very different from ours, yet in others, they had the same hopes and dreams as we do today.
When I’m writing I get immersed in the stories and my characters feel very real as they come to life during their adventures. I hope my readers enjoy following their journeys as much as I enjoy writing them.
I live near the coast on a farm in rural Wales with my husband, grown-up daughters, and rescue dogs. When I’m not writing I can usually be found enjoying a cuppa (tea of course), walking the dogs, or rounding up cows who have wandered into the wrong field.
